Hill starts here are not an exercise on a gentle slope; they are real, on the roads climbing towards Heaton Moor, and clutch control gets sorted properly because it has to be. The A6 gives you a busy multi-lane route in and out of town, and the one-way system around Merseyway is genuinely demanding — lane discipline, late signage and heavy traffic at almost any hour. We build up to both rather than dropping you into them. The M60 is on the doorstep too, which makes Stockport a good base for motorway lessons once you have passed.
