Hazard perception
Hazard perception practice
14 clips, 15 developing hazards, pass mark 44 of 75. Scored on how early you spot the hazard — exactly like the real test.
Ready to start?
4 clips available, containing 4 developing hazards. Clips play once — you can't pause or rewind, just like the real test.
How scoring works
Each clip contains one or two developing hazards. A developing hazard is a situation that changes and forces you to act — not simply something that appears on screen. A parked car is not a hazard; a parked car indicating and pulling out is.
- 5 pointsYou click as the hazard begins developing
- 4 to 1 pointsThe longer you leave it, the fewer points
- 0 pointsYou click before the hazard develops
- 0 pointsYou click after the scoring window closes
- Clip voidedContinuous or rhythmic clicking, exactly as in the real test
That last rule catches people out. Clicking constantly to be safe scores zero for the whole clip — the test is designed to detect it.
Practise a single clip
Scored exactly the same way as the full test — clicking in a burst still voids the clip. Use this to drill one you keep getting wrong.
