Retail district · distributor link

Busy retail areas combine direction signs, access roads, turning traffic and people moving between parked vehicles and shops. This route asks you to follow a destination through an angled distributor and then identify the sports-centre access road.

Practise separating the navigation task from the driving task: check signs early, make a plan, then return your attention to traffic, speed and vulnerable road users. If you are unsure which turn to take, stay on a safe course and reassess rather than steering abruptly.

What to practise

  • Use signs and road markings to confirm the route before a junction.
  • Scan for turning vehicles and people near shop and car-park entrances.
  • Continue safely if a direction is unclear or a turn is missed.
