How the real test works

The DVSA car theory test has two parts, taken in one sitting. First 50 multiple-choice questions in 57 minutes, needing 43 correct. Then hazard perception: 14 clips with 15 developing hazards, scored out of 75, needing 44. You have to pass both — a strong score in one won't rescue a fail in the other. The test costs £23 booked directly on GOV.UK.

Where our questions come from

Our questions are written in-house and each one is based on a numbered rule of The Highway Code, shown with the explanation so you can read the rule itself. They are not the official DVSA revision questions, which are licensed separately — so treat this as preparation alongside the official materials rather than a replacement for them.
