What to expect at Sale

Sale routes mix residential streets with the busier A56 corridor. The residential sections are narrow with heavy on-street parking, which tests road position and meeting-traffic judgement constantly.

The A56 brings faster-moving traffic and several sets of lights in quick succession, so lane selection needs deciding early rather than at the last moment.

Tram crossings feature on some routes. Learners who have never approached one tend to over-brake or stop unnecessarily.

Common faults: positioning when meeting oncoming traffic on the narrower residential roads, and late lane selection on the A56.

Practise on the real routes

Our instructors teach on the roads examiners actually use around Sale. Knowing a roundabout before test day is worth more than any amount of general practice somewhere else.
